Please note that you can go on the waitlist for any practitioner at our clinic if you’d like to get in sooner then when you initially booked, we still recommend booking an initial for the next available incase you do not get off the waiting list. NEW PATIENT BOOKINGS WITH WINTER

New patients in Huntsville please note Winter is only accepting 2 new clients per week, you may see availability online but please note if there is 2 initials booked in that week then openings gets pushed to the next week that there is not 2 new patients booked in. If you are looking to book an initial please call or text 705-980-1160 or email harmonywellnessosteopathy@gmail.com.

It is recommended that when adding yourself to the waiting list that you also book an appointment incase you do not get off the waiting list. When booking an initial it is also recommend to book a follow up within 2-4 weeks after your initial visit, if the appointment is not needed it can be cancelled after Winter sees you for an initial.

Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a gentle form of manual therapy that appeals to the nervous system. When decreasing restriction in motion throughout the body this will help remove obstruction throughout the tissues and allow the body to aid itself in healing. Decreasing pain and discomfort within the patient


Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a regulated wholistic medicine that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine theory to treat various ailments and illnesses. This includes but is not limited to injuries, chronic pain, digestive issues, insomnia, and stress. Using points along the meridians, we aim to bring balance to the body in order to negate symptoms. Acupuncture is a regulated wholistic medicine that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine theory to
treat various ailments and illnesses. This includes but is not limited to injuries, chronic pain,
digestive issues, insomnia, and stress. Using points along the meridians, we aim to bring
balance to the body in order to negate symptoms. It is best explained in Western medicine
terms as using needles to create small trauma points. These trauma points send signals to the
body to let it know that there is something wrong in that area which in turn, helps the body
heal itself and speed up recovery.

Cupping therapy is an ancient healing method that may ease back pain, neck pain, headaches and other issues. It uses suction to pull on your skin and increase blood flow to the affected area. Please note stationary cupping may cause bruising but should disappear within a week


Tai Chi & Qi Gong

Tai Chi and Qi Gong are exercise routines involving a series of movements based on Traditional Chinese Medicine to help improve or maintain our health. Tai Chi and Qi Gong are exercise routines involving a series of movements based on Traditional Chinese Medicine to help improve or maintain our health. Tai Chi is more sequence based and can be practiced as a martial art whereas medical Qi Gong is simpler, focused more on specific movements associated with the overall health of the person.

For the first 6 weeks, we will be working through the basic eight spiral rotations as well as the 12 Movements and the 8 Brocades, both of which are considered medical Qi Gong. After the first 6 weeks please let us know if you are interested in progressing with the Tai Chi routines as there will be a separate class for interested participants. Drop-ins are welcome, although weekly attendance is recommended as we will be adding several new movements each class.

Classes are open to all, movements are easily adapted for anyone with physical limitations or restrictions. Please let us know beforehand if you need access to a chair!


Mind Body Fitness Classes

Restore or improve mobility, suppleness and ease with somatic movements designed to release bracing patterns, tension and stress from the body. A mindful approach to fitness and movement that connects the mind and body. It's helpful to address concerns such as stiffness, heaviness, pain, discomfort, tension, sports injuries and surgeries as well as stress

Jasmine Amica Grant is a Registered Acupuncturist who currently practices in Barrie, ON. She graduated from Georgian College with an Advanced Diploma in Acupuncture with Honours. Growing up, she played high level hockey and soccer in her hometown Aurora, Ontario until she was on the receiving end of a hit from behind in hockey. Jasmine discovered acupuncture at 15 years old when recovering from the resulting concussion and neck injury while simultaneously experiencing symptoms of pain from endometriosis. The acupuncturist was able to help Jasmine with managing the chronic pain as well as return to functional health after the injury. Ever since, Jasmine has been passionate about this field of study and strives to improve her patient’s quality of life.

Providing trauma-informed holistic care and mindful fitness training, Marissa Brennan helps those go from feeling unwell, fatigued or overwhelmed to resilient, vital and balanced.

After completing her Bachelor’s degree in biology, she graduated as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she studied: physical medicine, clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, TCM/acupuncture, health psychology and lifestyle counselling. Through continuing education, she has formal training in the Biology of Trauma, reiki, and is a certified personal trainer.

Marissa offers multiple therapeutic movement sessions that also support the regulation & re-wiring of the nervous system. She leads weekly group classes including Mind-Body Movement that moves the body gently and Breath Work to mindfully release stress and tension.

Since 2002, Marissa has been helping clients with chronic symptoms and chronic stress. She guides clients on their healing journey back into parasympathetic where the body can release illness at its root and activate its self-healing mechanism

Trinity is a Holistic Health Practitioner and has been now for over 30 years. She has developed immensely over the last 30 years by taking continuing education courses and always being eager to learn. Trinity provides tailored strategies that empower you to cultivate self-awareness and resilience. Trinitys offers multiple services and her approach combines practical tools such as Massage / Reflexology / Energy Work / Coaching and Movement along with compassionate support and guidance to assist you on your journey to achieve optimal wellness. Winters love for osteopathy began in 2016! When she was first introduced to osteopathic therapy following a sports related injury, she was getting treated by a graduate and quickly realized it was improving her injuries, as she continued getting treatment she became more interested in how osteopathy was helping the body and was eager to learn more!

Winter started her osteopathic education at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO) in the spring of 2018, where she studied principle based classical osteopathy which has helped her gain a very strong understanding of functional anatomy, human physiology and osteopathic collective mechanics.

Winter graduated from the CAO in September 2022 and opened her business Harmony Wellness Osteopathy shortly after, she is currently practicing out of the Bracebridge and Huntsville area! Winter is dedicated to providing outstanding treatment to her patients and committed to finding the root cause of the problem to improve overall health opposed to treating the presentation of symptomology. Winter works hard to connect with her patients on a professional and personal level.

Her goal is to help maintain health, improve range of motion, decrease pain and help overall mobility. She works with her patients individual needs and requirements to help promote the bodies ability to self heal and self regulate.
